Hillcrest has been a long time private oasis nestled in beautiful Avalon Hills.
Hillcrest, originally known as Avalon Country Club, was established in 1927. It
was founded by Fred Tucker and Felix McWhirter.
After a devastating lightning strike in 1929, it was rebuilt with a Spanish
Colonial Revival style. Retaining much of that early ambiance, a major
Clubhouse renovation and expansion was completed in 2002.
The clubhouse and golf course were named to the National Register for
Historical Places in 2004. |
