Hillcrest Members,

On behalf of the Hillcrest Caddie Committee, I am thrilled to announce that we have four (4) caddies this year who are finalists for the Evans Scholarship, a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to either Indiana University or Purdue University.  The criteria for the Scholarship are as follows:

1. Must be a golf caddie for at least two years
2. Must have an excellent high academic record
3. Must have outstanding character
4. Must have financial need

The 17 finalists across the state of Indiana will interview in a press conference-style format as they field questions about topics related to, among other things, their academic, leadership and caddie experiences.  Normally, these 10-15 minute interviews take place in a live setting.  However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, this year the finalists will interview virtually via a Zoom call which you are welcome to view as it happens live on Thursday, January 27^th.   Please see the invitation below which includes the lineup of interviews as well as the link to register.  Best I can estimate, our Hillcrest finalists will be interviewing on either side of the 11:45am ET break.  I’m guessing they will interview between 11am and 12:30pm ET (note the times below are CT).  You are welcome to view as many or as few of these interviews as you wish, but I encourage you to tune in at some point during the day to see how incredible these young people are.

Also, if you are able to stop by the Avalon Ballroom this Sunday the 23^rd between 1pm-3pm, the finalists will be preparing for their interviews.  Feel free to come by and help or simply to congratulate them and wish them well.

We hope you can join us virtually for the Indiana Evans Scholars Selection Meeting on Jan. 27. Due to rising COVID concerns, we have decided to hold next week's Selection Meeting in a fully virtual format to ensure everyone's safety.
